About Glenn Kunsmann, DO
Glenn Kunsman, DO, treats families and provides general medicine services at Medico in Phoenix and Glendale, Arizona. He is a highly personable, team-spirited emergency room physician, recognized for excelling in fast-paced environments. He is known for being a devoted patient advocate that puts patients first, and establishes subtle and often difficult-to-make diagnoses.
Dr. Kunsman got his nursing license in 1990 from the University of New York Regents. He earned a Master of Science in Healthcare Information Systems from Western International University in Tempe, Arizona. He worked as a nurse for several years in telemetry and emergency room settings. He wanted to do more for his community and his patients and decided to attend medical school at Touro University in 2005. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009. He is board-certified in emergency medicine, and certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography to perform ultrasound-guided procedures.
Upon graduation, Dr. Kunsman completed his residency at Kingman Regional Medical Center in Kingman, Arizona, where he was Chief Resident and instrumental in developing an ultrasound training program for the residents. He also owned group homes and shelters for children in the Valley for several years. He has always been passionate about information technology and is also a software developer utilizing his healthcare experience to develop EMRs and telehealth software. He has primarily worked in rural emergency rooms due to his commitment to the local community, and he opened Medico to continue that same commitment in a general medicine setting.
He has been married to his wife Melissa for 19 years and has two beautiful daughters, Kayla and Lauren.
